Here's why Milwaukee area gas prices are so much higher.

At an average price of $3.96, gasoline prices are up nearly 50 cents a gallon from this time last year, and gas is more expensive in Milwaukee than the national average and the rest of the state.

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

gas is over $4.00 in detroit especially within the inner city but did you see the news to day that they are predicting that gas could go as high as $12.00 per gallon if the war in Iraq last much longer

its truly unbelieveable when you figure the amount of gasoline that the working poor must have to go to go back and forth to work. Why any one believes that the Republican Party policies of worrying about gay marriage, flag lapel pins, and gun control is going to solve our energy problems is beyond my imagination

So that's why I paid $4.20/gal to fill up today?

I love how gas prices (and food, and milk, and everything else) are skyrocketing, but average incomes are staying pretty level. That's not a good mix.
